Crush them now Giant Robo
Engadget has a post about a story on CNET where this guy in Alaska is bent on building a mech in his back yard. I guess when you are in Alaska you have time for that type of thing. While this story seems pretty neat and all but what really caught my attention is in the pictures section they have this picture:
Which came from this website about robots. Apparently General Electric was workin on this mech to lift things. It reminds me quite a bit of loader from Aliens.
Back to the guy from Alaska. I think this guy might be underestimating how hard it is to make a robot walk, especially on snow, which I assume is still all over the ground year round in Alaska.
